State of Texas ID Card Requirements

 

One of the requirements when playing with Unity Select sports football program is an official State of Texas ID card for the participants.  The various leagues that we play in require all players to have a State issue ID card, so please ensure your player is ready to participate on day one.  In some cases a current Military Depent ID, or valid U.S.Passport will suffice, so contact us in advance if you have a question.  Unlike other leagues Birth Certificates and/or report cards are not accepted as proof of identity or age.  This is not needed until August, but we recommend getting this as soon as possible to avoid delays. 

Listed below are the instructions from DPS on obtaining a Texas ID Card. 

Apply for an Identification (ID) Card

Note: We highly recommending calling the Texas Department of Public Safety to make sure you have all needed paperwork for your minor child.  

 

To apply for your first Texas ID card, you must do the following:

1. Gather documents that verify your identity, U.S. citizenship or lawful presence status, and Texas residency. 

2. Complete the application. (This form is also available at all driver license offices.)

3. Apply in person at any driver license office and bring the required documents and fees.

 

There is no age restriction for an identification card.

You will need the following documents to apply for the I.D. card.: Birth Certificate, Social Security Card, and most recent Report Card.

Texas I.D. Card Cost is $16.00, and card expires in 6 years.
